Blogging is one inexpensive way to help attract new clients to an ecommerce site.

But given the millions of blogs on the internet today, taking the right steps to differentiate a blog from the masses is important.

While a business website may be relatively static, a corporate blog should be active with quality content to draw users to the site, according to an article in Newsday.com.

In fact, one corporate blogger told Newsday that it is often the more personal posts that elicit responses. And responses, another expert claims, are the reason to have a blog in the first place.

In order for a blog to help attract business, seasoned bloggers recommend fresh content posted frequently.

Lawyer and legal blogger Mark Herrmann writes in a CanadaCourt.com article that while setting up a blog is the "easy" part, a successful blog requires "interesting new content" with posts multiple times a week.

Herrmann says that blogging may raise a personal profile or that of a business, or in his case his law firm.
