New poll shows slight improvement in economic outlook
Slowly, but hopefully surely, Canadians' optimism is creeping higher.
Reuters is reporting that a new poll shows that 16 percent of respondents see the economy improving - up 2 points from three months ago.
Although an overwhelming 49 percent expect the economy to weaken over the next six months, this is down from 57 percent three months prior, according to Reuters.
The news source also reports that fewer people expect real estate prices to sink further, another improvement from the last survey.
Despite a gloomy outlook, many entrepreneurial spirits are using this market to start up a new business.
Entrepreneur.com is reporting that a surprising number of successful businesses are born out of tough economic conditions.
A surprising number of people - either laid off workers or those who may have accepted buyout packages - are using their corporate expertise and severance to build small business success, says the business source.
Outsourcing printing services, technology needs, and buying pre-made businesses forms are quick ways to get a business up and running.
