How marketing choices affect small business

One Canadian marketing guru is putting her years of message delivery experience to work in her new book.

Muddled, Meager and Messy - Marketing performance repair manual for small business is author Wendy Moore-MacQueen's way to help small businesses position themselves competitively even during a down economy.

The author explains, "So many businesses cut their marketing budgets when times get tough, but the reality is the businesses who get smarter with their marketing budget are the ones who survive."

In addition to instructing small business owners how to devise a marketing plan, Moore-MacQueen also discusses ways to get to know your audience.

The Revelstoke Times Review recently highlighted one Canadian entrepreneur who is catering to her audience with a comfort food meal business.

Business owner Kendra Powell tells the news source that she considered carefully the environmentally friendly packaging choices she would use at her food-to-go spot, Mountain Meals.

Powell was recognized by the Times Review for her 'green' ways and hopes to eventually have locally sourced products as a key component of her food.
